Todd - I wish to have...
Nintendo 64 and lots of games.

When Jacqui and Sharon visited four-year-old
Todd of Newport News,
all he could talk about was playing video games – especially his
favorite game,
Mario Brothers. His wish was for a Nintendo 64 and lots of games.
This is where Matthew’s expertise came into play. Matthew, age 13.
had requested that in lieu of bar mitzvah gifts, well-wishers send donations
to M-A-W. Todd’s wish is one that was sponsored by these gifts and
we asked that he help us make it come true.
Jacqui and Sharon were happy to add Matthew to their team and by the time
Matthew was finished, Todd had the ultimate Nintendo set up – complete
with TV, stand, rumble packs, games, steering wheel and all of the other
gadgets that would cause his eyes to light up.
On Wish Night, the volunteer team showed up with pizzas and Scooby Doo
party supplies – they had listened well
at the interview and knew that Scooby was another of Todd’s favorites.
Soon after the party got underway, two more volunteers showed with all
of the Nintendo supplies and Matthew,
Todd and his brother were soon immersed up to their necks in electronic
gadgetry as they set up the play system. Todd and his brother were amazed
by everything his wish entailed and their mother made the comment that
the boys would probably never allow their parents into the bedroom to
play!
